Susan G. Komen Walk for a Cure

My story would entail the life of a woman going through the various stages of breast cancer. I would start by talking about breast cancer and how people deal with the different symptoms. I would also advocate the Susan G. Komen Walk for a cure that is held annually in New York City's Central Park. This walk is to raise awareness and funding to find the cure for breast cancer. I am very attached to this story because I have a family member who has been through it. I think by telling this story I would be helping spread awareness of breast cancer, symptoms, various types of treatment and ways to donate.

  1. Yes. Health information is what everyone is looking for and as you narrow this down to the breast cancer, you will be able to deliver more specific information, concerns, and social impacts. and one of good storytelling idea is to approach with Episodic framing like Susan Komen.

My question is how you tell something new and different information to your audiences since many major news sites or health related website already deal with this topic, e.g. pick ribbon?
