Book Reviews
I thought an interesting idea for a blog would be updates about book reviews. I plan to read newly release books and offer my opinions on them. I will also take time in my blogs to write about new authors. I hope with this blog people who enjoy reading can look at this blog for information about new books and authors that they may find interesting. Vacations for College Students
The website will be designed to help college students find affordable vacation spots for all times through out the year(Summer Break, Winter Break and Spring Break). Every college student is trying to find the best bang for their buck so the site will list an array of choices to compare and contrast to find what best fits their needs. Along with pictures of different resorts, it will include links to other helpful websites and different phone numbers to call. Technology helping the Disabled
A story I’m interested in blogging about would be how technology can help the disabled communicate. The IPhone has specific applications to help people with speech impediments communicate with others. My story is going to be unique because people never expect a cell phone or any other kind of modern technology assisting speech therapist. This blog will also educate readers about the difficulties of being disabled and other forms of technology that can help in health care. The blog can have videos of people using this type of therapy as well as audio clips and photos.
Susan G. Komen Walk for a Cure
My story would entail the life of a woman going through the various stages of breast cancer. I would start by talking about breast cancer and how people deal with the different symptoms. I would also advocate the Susan G. Komen Walk for a cure that is held annually in New York City's Central Park. This walk is to raise awareness and funding to find the cure for breast cancer. I am very attached to this story because I have a family member who has been through it. I think by telling this story I would be helping spread awareness of breast cancer, symptoms, various types of treatment and ways to donate.

Kyle Cichorek - Multimedia Idea
My story idea is a story regarding self repairing solar cells. I think my story is going to be unique and significant because it can change the future of energy and energy consumption. It can change the entire world . I can use tools such as slideshows and Photoshop to show the cells, and what they exactly do.
I plan to gather pictures of the cells, the scientists that were working on them, documentation explaining what they can do, and gather more information about solar power and how it works.

It would be interesting to make a blog about the automobile industry. It would be for people that aren’t machines and that don’t know a lot about cars. It will be about the new car show what the good and the bad parts about the cars. Every week there will be a new car, doing a different part of the car everyday Monday thru Friday. The blog with cover every thing form how it drives to how the music sounds. This could be important to read because it will tell them the things then need to know about the car that the car salesman won’t tell them. It will include text and photo/sideshows of the cars.
Music
I thought and interesting story for a blog would be music updates. I feel like a blog about what musicians are collaborating, what they are working on, and any concert or special appearances they have scheduled. I know there is twitter for this but i feel a blog that has it all in one would be unique. It can update the students on a variety of different artists and not be limited to just a certain type. The blog can have video as well as audio clips, photos, etc.
Fall Fun
I would like to see a blog created based on things to do in Plattsburgh in the fall. It would be beneficial to incoming freshman who are new to the college life setting or to students not from the area not really knowing what there is to do. There are many activities to engage in since the weather allows students to be outdoors still. Autumn is a great time to get together with a group of friends for fun activities. Pictures would be a great addition to the blog as well as testimony from other students about the time they had while doing some of the activities.
Technology News Story
The story I will cover is the massive oil spill in the Gulf by BP and how the safety measures failed, causing such a disaster. This story is unique because of how much widespread devastation was caused by a single piece of equipment. I will also try to answer, how and why this happened as long as what to do to prevent this from occurring again.

News Story: Can students survive wihtout the use of technoloy?
The main question would be "can students survive without the use of technology?" To answer this question we could challenge students to go one day without the use of technology, that is, phones,laptops,elevators etc. We could ask them to blog about how their day went and/or post videos showing their day without the use of technology.
I think the use of text,photos and videos would would be the best multimedia tools to use for this story. Text: persons can blog about their day and persons can comment on the persons blog. Pictures can be shown depicting the various types of technology being used. Posting videos on the blog page showing how individuals survived the day or did not survive the day without technology would bring the blog to life.
Plattsburgh State Extreme Sports
This blog can be used by any skateboarder, skier, snowboarder, surfer, BMX rider, wake boarder, and anyone else who pushes their body to the limits in extreme sports. I think this story would be great for new students to learn new places to ride, skate, or ski. It can also be used to plan trips and other events that would be easier to participate in with a group rather than individually. Multimedia tools would work best for this kind of story so it is that much easier to be in touch with other local athletes and explore local mountains, parks, and lakes to engage in their favorite extreme sport. Riders can use this blog to add photos and videos of themselves and others participating in their extreme sport.

Plattsburgh State Athletics
I think that we could create a multimedia site that describes the players and sports of PSU in greater depth. With this story idea players from all sports will have personal bios and stats along with video highlights that can be updated daily. I think that this will be unique because the current athletes at PSU don't have their information and statistics all in one area where fans can easily reach them. Friends, family members, and just fans will be able to quickly and conveniently view their favorite players. The use of photos,texts and video highlights will be used to display each players abilities and interests.

we should have a cooking and /or baking multimedia site.
We can reach out to college kids who have a lack of cooking expierence or a lack of tools/ ingredients. They can be easy meals/ snacks/ drinks anyone can do.
It will be unique because it will be run by college kids for college kids so we will be able to understand the needs. It will relate to the audience.
